Thursday the 2nd, Ben informed me that "Mommy, today is my last day to be two. It's gonna be a good day!"
Our boy is three. Here are some things about our boy. Benjamin:
1. is hilarious.
2. still appreciates cuddling and being held.
3.LOVES LOVES LOVES to be tickled.
4. often over-reacts when things don't go his way. He feels things deeply.
5. has lots of empathy for kids who are sad. In his class at church, he often tries to comfort the kids who are crying.
6.is bright, but doesn't show as much interest in "learning," he would rather just play.
7. has a phenomenal ability to remember people's names.
8. really likes people.
9. loves mom and dad, but has no issues separating for school, church or anything that involves playing.
10. still really loves his paci and has zero interest in giving it up.
11. is the boy mommy to his eight babies, the most recent is a stuffed lemon.
12. surprisingly doesn't like to eat cold things (popsicles or ice cream). He also doesn't like cupcakes. Although, he does like the frosting and sprinkles.
13. loves anything his brother loves.
14. knows exactly how to push his brother's buttons and does this quite purposefully throughout the day.
15. at the same time, he openly adores his brother.
16. loves hockey (watching it with daddy, but mostly "playing" it)
17. still eats pureed veggies. Seems odd, but the doctor assures us he won't still eat them in college and at least he is getting some vegetables in his diet, even if it's gerber baby food.
18. goes to bed really easy.
19. snores loudly and has large tonsils. There may be some surgery in his near future.
20. loves a British tv show called Fireman Sam (much to Kim's reluctance). Curious George, Dinosaur Train, Super Why and Elliot Moose are some approved favorites.
21. continues to talk and communicate very well. We often forget that he is two years younger than Eliot and mistakenly have higher expectations for him.
22. if he could, he would on live solely goldfish, pretzels and squeezey applesauce.
23. favorite color is yellow and favorite animal is the okapi (although they talked about zebras in school this week, so that is the new favorite)
24. loves to listen to books. He goes through phases of his favorite book and will chose it every night. Recently his favorites have been a book about a little girl potty training (weird since he has been potty trained for almost a year) and make way for ducklings - jack, kack, lack, mack, nack, oack, pack and quack are close friends of his now.
25. has two imaginary friends, Gogga and Poopa, who come with us often on family outings.
26. his favorite word is "poopy" and really thinks he is hilarious when he uses it.
27. if you ask him not to do something, he will immediately do it. He likes to test boundaries.
28. is hilarious - did I mention that? He is a really funny kid.September 2006 October 2006 November 2006 December 2006 January 2007 February 2007 April 2007 May 2007 June 2007 July 2007 August 2007 October 2007 November 2007 December 2007 January 2008 March 2008 May 2008 June 2008 July 2008 August 2008 September 2008 October 2008 November 2008 December 2008 February 2009 March 2009 April 2009 May 2009 June 2009 July 2009 September 2009 October 2009 November 2009 December 2009 January 2010 February 2010 April 2010 May 2010 June 2010 July 2010 October 2010 November 2010 December 2010 January 2011 February 2011 March 2011 April 2011 May 2011 June 2011 July 2011 August 2011 September 2011 October 2011 November 2011 December 2011 January 2012 February 2012 March 2012 April 2012 May 2012 June 2012 July 2012 November 2012 March 2013
