The boys saw an episode of Curious George last week that involved a homemade vending machine. They LOVED it and begged to make their own. So we found a large box and began the decorations. Kim made the shameless rule that if you order anything, you have to eat it. It worked for the first day. Now the boys tend to want to be the ones in the vending machine :) Although Ben likes to sneak food while working the machine. Eliot create his own decoding chart - colored buttons next to pictures of the fruit or veggie. Inside the vending machine, he has the same chart posted so he will know what you order when you press the red button. After a few fights, it was decided that only one person can man the machine at once. So this photo of both boys inside will be rare. Yet another box that takes up space in our house. But if it encourages my picky eating boys to consume a few fruit, I will live with it.
