Ben's Hard Few Days

On Saturday the boys went for one last day of the season at the beach with Jared and the fabulous Williams Family. The boys had a blast. It was overcast and cool, so sunscreen was not on the radar. Sadly Ben's skin didn't take it so well. He woke up on Sunday morning with large blisters on his forehead. Since then seven of them have popped and scabbed over. We are just keeping our fingers crossed that they don't scar. Then at church on Sunday, Ben was playing at his favorite spot -- the drinking fountain. A little girl came by and pushed him over hard. He hit the back of his head, got a goose egg and cut. Then on Monday he fell down our stairs, from top to bottom. Those of you who have been to our house know that is a hard & long fall. We checked his pupil diallation with a flashlight, watched him move all of his limbs, etc. He miraculously seems to be okay, but I am sure he is super sore. It has been a rough few days for the poor guy.

Comments:
Some of the worst sunburns in my family have been on overcast days.
